During the ITB Berlin trade fair, NAITM held an important meeting with Forum Anders Reisen, a business association bringing together 140 small and medium-sized tour operators from Germany dedicated to environmentally and economically sustainable and socially responsible tourism.

During the meeting, NAITM presented its practices and initiatives for sustainable tourism development in North Macedonia, with a special focus on Kruševo and Berovo as examples of sustainable destinations offering authentic experiences, strong local value, and care for the natural environment.

Representatives of Forum Anders Reisen shared their experience in developing guidelines and standards, training programs, monitoring systems, and certification processes – important tools for improving quality and sustainability within the tourism sector.

We are pleased to announce that an agreement was reached to prepare a Memorandum of Understanding and cooperation, as well as an invitation for B2B meetings between members of NAITM and Forum Anders Reisen in September 2026. In addition, we are planning the organization of a FAM trip to North Macedonia in October, aimed at providing direct insight into our sustainable tourism products and destinations.
